Teenager Kills Colleague in Dispute Over Schoolgirl
By A Correspondent – The Zimbabwe Republic Police has confirmed the arrest of Anold Mambure, 19, in connection with the killing of Asseshin Taruvinga, also 19, on 2 March 2026.
The fatal incident took place near Budirirai Secondary School in Mwenezi. Police reports indicate that the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim twice beneath the left armpit with an okapi knife following a dispute over a 15-year-old girl.
A police spokesperson said, “Anold Mambure has been apprehended and will face charges in connection with the murder of Asseshin Taruvinga. We urge the community to allow the law to take its course.”
The case has raised alarm among local residents over youth violence and conflicts escalating into deadly confrontations in the area.
