Zivhu’s Bizarre Tribute to Kasukuwere Leaves Zanu PF Heavyweights Fuming – Eduzim News

Tinashe Sambiri– Controversial Zanu PF politician and businessman Killer Zivhu on Friday sparked fresh debate within political circles after publicly praising exiled former ruling party national political commissar Saviour Kasukuwere.

Zivhu’s remarks, which quickly circulated on social media, are widely expected to anger some senior Zanu PF officials, particularly at a time when tensions are already rising within the ruling party.

In a message directed at Kasukuwere, who has been living outside Zimbabwe following his fallout with the party leadership, Zivhu described him as a fearless figure who cannot easily be intimidated.

“Chirandu, hamubvunduki masango, nyuchi, nzunzi, tsetse fly kana vunyunyu, tekairai murunyararo gono remasango,” Zivhu said.
The Shona message loosely translates to a tribute portraying Kasukuwere as a brave and resilient individual who is not shaken by danger or obstacles.
Kasukuwere, once a powerful figure within Zanu PF, fell out with the ruling party leadership during the political upheaval that led to the removal of former president Robert Mugabe in 2017.

Since then, he has remained outside the country but continues to feature in Zimbabwe’s political discussions.

Zivhu’s comments come at a sensitive time as debate intensifies over the proposed constitutional amendment bill, which has triggered divisions and heated discussions within political and legal circles.
Political observers say Zivhu’s public praise of Kasukuwere may further inflame tensions within the ruling party, particularly among influential figures who remain critical of the former commissar.

Despite being in exile, Kasukuwere has continued to attract attention in Zimbabwean politics, with speculation occasionally surfacing about his possible political ambitions.

Zivhu, who is known for his outspoken and sometimes controversial political statements, has not elaborated further on his remarks.

However, his comments have already stirred discussion among party supporters and critics alike, adding another layer to the ongoing debate within Zanu PF.
