Udinese deliver worrying update on Jordan Zemura ahead of Warriors games

Udinese have delivered a worrying update on the injury of defender Jordan Zemura.

Zemura suffered a muscle problem during the final training session ahead of their game against Atalanta BC on Saturday.

The Zimbabwe national team international had tests on Monday and will be out of action for a couple of weeks.

A statement by Udinese Calcio reads: “Udinese Calcio announces that, following medical tests, Jordan Zemura has suffered a muscle tear in his left thigh.

“The player has already resumed his rehabilitation programme and will be evaluated in the coming weeks.”

The injury potentially rules him out of the Zimbabwe national football team squad for the upcoming Four-Nations Invitational Cup set to take place during the international break from 23–31 March in Francistown, Botswana.

The tournament will feature Zimbabwe alongside regional rivals Zambia national football team, Botswana national football team, and Malawi national football team.
