Dynamos and Highlanders played out an entertaining 2–2 draw at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
The game was the first league instalment of the Battle of Zimbabwe this season.
Highlanders made early threats and almost snatched a goal in the 18th minute, but Nomore Chinyerere’s long-range strike hit the upright.
Dynamos, on the other hand, were not clinical enough to cause any trouble for Highlanders goalkeeper Reward Muza in the opening stages of the game.
Bosso finally broke the deadlock in the 39th minute after Never Rauzhi finished off a brilliant team move. The goal was enough to send the visitors into the break with the advantage.
However, the hosts equalised straight from the restart of the second half through Tellmore Pio.
Substitute Leroy Mavunga could have sent the Glamour Boys ahead moments later but wasted a great chance, shooting wide from close range.
It was Highlanders who utilised their chance at the other end and grabbed the lead again in the 78th minute after Mongameli Tshuma coolly slotted his effort home, beating three men along the way.
Dynamos restored parity again four minutes later through Collins Mujuru, who connected with a cross from a free kick.
The game ended in a stalemate, with both teams sharing the spoils.
At Wadzanai Stadium, Agama lost their second successive game, going down 1–0 to Bulawayo Chiefs.
