FC Platinum coach Joel Luphahla has lamented the wet conditions across the country that have made football pitches difficult to play on.
The Platinum Boys played at Mandava Stadium for the first time this season, beating Manica Diamonds 2-0 on a muddy pitch.
Speaking after the game, Luphahla admitted that the pitch conditions made the match challenging despite picking up maximum points at home.
“It was a difficult game under these conditions,” he said. “The pitch was difficult to play on.
“It’s not like we are the only ones playing on these pitches; everybody is playing under the same conditions.
“We need to make sure we get used to it and adjust.”
FC Platinum registered the victory thanks to goals from McKinnon Mushore and Garikai Dematsika, who both scored in the first half.
