Constitution Defenders Forum Vows To Take On Mnangagwa Regime Despite Relentless Persecution
Tinashe Sambiri– The Constitution Defenders Forum (CDF) has refused to back down in the face of persecution by the Zanu PF regime, vowing to continue its fight for justice and constitutionalism .
In a statement, the CDF said, “The unlawful arrest, detention, and imposition of stringent bail conditions on Convener Tendai Biti and Director of Programs Morgan Ncube are a direct affront to the rule of law and democratic principles.”
The group expressed gratitude for the support it has received, saying, “We note, with gratitude, the strong local and international voices that have spoken out against this injustice.”
“We remain steadfast and undeterred,” the CDF said. “Our work continues unabated. We will defend the Constitution, uphold human rights, and stand firm in the face of any challenge.”
The CDF also thanked those who have stood in solidarity with them, saying, “The Constitution Defenders Forum extends its sincere appreciation to all who have stood in solidarity with us. Your support reinforces our collective commitment to justice and constitutionalism.”
