The Soweto Derby match between Kaizer Chiefs Legends and Orlando Pirates Legends has AGAIN been cancelled.
The match, organised by Puzzle Pictures, was scheduled for Sunday, 29 March at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
However, it has been called off with organisers citing circumstances beyond their control to be unable to proceed with this one-day event.
This is the second time that this Soweto Derby for Legends is cancelled. The same thing happened in early February this year.
Players from both Chiefs and Pirates had already started preparing for this encounter in Durban.
The Chiefs Legends team consists of Itumeleng Khune, Daniel Akpeyi, Thuso Phala and Siphiwe Tshabalala among many others.
Pirates Masters have the likes of Lucky Lekgwathi, Oupa Manyisa, Katlego Mashego and Happy Jele among the others.
WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO HAD ALREADY BOUGHT TICKETS?
In a statement released, Puzzle Pictures said those who had already bought tickets for this encounter will get their refunds.
Puzzle Pictures said while they have been unable to get this Soweto Derby over the line, the vision to make it happen remains alive.
