Former Zimbabwe international Esrom Nyandoro has been appointed as the player welfare manager in the Warriors technical team.
Although Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) are yet to officially confirm the development, a close source has revealed to Soccer24 that the appointment has already been made.
This marks Nyandoro’s first role within a national team technical setup in Zimbabwe and signals his return to the Warriors fold more than a decade after retiring from football.
Nyandoro, who enjoyed a successful playing career both locally and in South Africa, is widely regarded as one of Zimbabwe’s finest midfielders of his generation. His new role will see him focus on player welfare, a key area aimed at improving the overall environment and support structures within the national team.
