Alderman Naison Tsere Dies
By A Correspondent – Masvingo City Council has expressed deep sorrow following the passing of Alderman Naison Tsere, describing his death as a significant loss to both the local authority and the wider community.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the council, led by Mayor Cllr Aleck Tabe, joined by councillors, Town Clerk Eng Edward Mukaratirwa, management and staff, extended heartfelt condolences to the Tsere family during their time of grief.
The council said the loss has left a void in the city, acknowledging Tsere’s role and contribution to the community. The statement read, “His Worship the Mayor, Cllr Aleck Tabe, Councillors, Town Clerk Eng Edward Mukaratirwa, Management and Staff extends deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Alderman Tsere family and the entire Masvingo community following the loss of Alderman Naison Tsere.”
Officials expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, adding, “During this difficult time of grief and sorrow, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.”
They also offered words of comfort, saying, “May you find strength, comfort, and peace in the support of the community that stands with you in this moment of mourning.”
The council concluded its message with a final tribute, saying, “May his soul rest in peace.”
