The Zimbabwe national team have made a slight leap in the latest FIFA rankings released on Wednesday.
The Warriors were in action during the March international break, featuring in the invitational Mukuru Four-Nation Tournament, where they won both of their matches.
Zimbabwe beat Botswana 3-0 in the semi-finals on Saturday before edging Zambia 1-0 in the final on Tuesday.
However, according to information on FIFA’s website, only the result against Botswana was considered in the points tally, as Zambia’s only officially recorded match during the March window was against Argentina, which was also played on Tuesday.
As a result, the win over Botswana lifted Zimbabwe just two places up to number 130 in the world.
The Warriors had been sitting at their worst-ever ranking of 132, and the latest movement sees them move slightly above that mark.
On the African rankings table, Zimbabwe remain in position 37.
Meanwhile, Morocco continue to lead the continent, while France are now ranked the best team in the world after displacing Spain.
