Zim players based abroad round-up: Munetsi, Maswanhise end dry spells

Tawanda Maswanhise has ended his goal drought in Motherwell’s 3-2 loss against Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.

Maswanhise had spent the last three games without finding the back of the net, with his previous goal coming in a brace during a 2-1 win over Dundee United in late February.

He played the entire match and scored Motherwell’s second goal in the 90th minute.

Marshall Munetsi, who was also enduring a dry spell, was on target on Sunday in the French Ligue 1, scoring in Paris FC’s 1-1 draw against Lorient.

He started the match and scored the equaliser in the 74th minute.

In the Greek Super League, Tinotenda Kadewere registered his first assist for Aris Thessaloniki against Levadiakos on Sunday.

Kadewere has had a difficult start to his life in Greece after joining the side at the start of the season.

He started the match and assisted the goal in the first half. He went on to receive a yellow card in the first half.

In the English Championship, Sean Fusire returned to action after missing national team duty due to personal commitments.

He featured for the full match in the 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday and received a yellow card.

Teammate Marvelous Nakamba was not part of the Sheffield Wednesday squad.

In League One, Brendan Galloway was an unused substitute for Plymouth Argyle in the 2-0 loss against Bolton Wanderers.

Elsewhere, Munashe Garananga (Hibernian), Tawanda Chirewa (Barnsley), and Jordan Zemura (Udinese) all missed action due to injuries, while Reading’s Andy Rinomhota was not part of the squad that played Huddersfield.
