Sad : Seven Bosso Fans Die In Road Accident
Sports Correspondent – A tragic road crash has claimed the lives of seven supporters of Highlanders Football Club, leaving the football community in shock and grief.
The supporters were reportedly travelling from Bulawayo on Friday after attending a match in which Highlanders played to a 0-0 draw against FC Platinum at Barbourfields Stadium.
The fatal accident occurred along the Bulawayo–Gwanda Road as they were making their way home.
In a statement, the club expressed profound sorrow over the devastating loss, saying, “Highlanders FC extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the seven supporters who tragically lost their lives on Friday evening.”
The club confirmed the circumstances surrounding the incident, adding, “The accident occurred along the Bulawayo-Gwanda Road as they were returning from our match against FC Platinum.”
Offering comfort to those affected, Highlanders said, “To the bereaved, we offer our sincere prayers, strength, and unwavering support during this incredibly difficult time.”
The statement further emphasized unity in mourning, noting, “May you find comfort in the love that surrounds you and in the memories of those we have lost. As a club, we stand with you in grief and solidarity.”
