Sad: Horrific Chivhu Crash Kills Two
By A Correspondent – Tragedy struck along the Chivhu‑Gutu Road on April 5, 2026, when a Toyota Hilux carrying five passengers lost control and overturned multiple times, leaving two people dead and four others injured.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the vehicle was heading towards Chivhu when the driver apparently lost control at the 11 km peg.
The truck veered off the road to the right, flipped several times, and eventually landed on its wheels.
Two passengers were killed instantly at the scene, while the four others sustained injuries of varying severity.
The victims’ bodies were taken to Chivhu General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examinations, as authorities investigate the cause of the accident.
Police have appealed to motorists to drive carefully, particularly on rural roads, warning that reckless driving and loss of vehicle control can have devastating consequences.
