Scottland FC coach Norman Mapeza has provided an update on his squad’s condition ahead of their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 7 encounter against Bulawayo Chiefs.
The defending champions are set to travel to Bulawayo for the fixture scheduled to take place at Barbourfields Stadium on Saturday.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mapeza expressed confidence in his side’s readiness, though he admitted concerns over the players’ physical condition following a congested schedule during the Easter holidays.
“We are ready, we will do our final session tomorrow (Friday),” the gaffer told reporters on Thursday.
“Physically because of the two games that we played within a space of five days, but it wasn’t us alone, all the clubs played those games.
“As I have always said, it’s about managing our training loads.”
