Tinashe Sambiri– Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has hit back at critics following his donation of US$80,000 and a brand-new vehicle to Ronald Mujuru, who recently lost five children and his wife in a tragic road accident.

The donation, which was made as support during Mujuru’s period of grief, has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some praising the gesture while others questioning how it was delivered.

Chivayo wrote on Facebook on Thursday, strongly defending his actions and dismissing criticism directed at him.

In his post, he said:
