Mungwaru Nyakupinda took to Facebook to share how he won £167,728.20 in a lottery on July 9th.
He credited karma for his win, explaining that while shopping at Sainsbury’s, he received £3 in change and decided to buy a lottery ticket instead
“First and foremost I would like to thank Karma..
Tuesday 9 July I went into Sainsbury’s to buy some stuff,so there was £3 change and I asked for a lottery ticket..I play online so I forgot this ticket..”
However, he claimed that he forgot his ticket because he is used to playing online. He rediscovered his lottery ticket when he returned to Sainsbury’s again. Upon checking it, he discovered he had won.
Yesterday I was in Sainsbury’s so I saw the ticket in my wallet so I asked the shop assistant to check it..I heard the sound a winning ticket makes but the slip said “Return ticket to owner and owner needs to call the national lottery”..
So I said I’m not gonna sit down and check this ticket I will check it when I’m at home while I’m well relaxed..
I won £167,728.20 (one hundred and 67 thousand seven hundred and twenty eight and 20 pence).”
