“Back To Zero”: Here Is Why Aaron Chaka Will Not Be Using Oliver Mtukudzi’s Surname

Viral sensation Aaron Chaka will not be using Oliver Mtukudzi’s surname for now after the High Court dismissed his demands.

In a recent court judgement seen by The Sunday Mail, the High Court threw out Aaron Chaka’s application for the Registrar of Births and Deaths to change his birth surname to Mtukudzi.

Aaron Chaka Will Not Be Using Mtukudzi’s Surname

One of the reasons the Court threw out Chaka’s application was because he did not provide scientific proof that he is indeed Mtukudzi’s child:

“Because of the anomalies in applicant’s papers, the request by the first respondent provides the way forward for the applicant. Once applicant obtains scientific confirmation that the late Oliver Mtukudzi is his biological father, he can approach the Registrar-General in terms of Section 8 of (Chapter 5:02), which provides for the correction of an error of fact or substance in the register. Applicant was, therefore, improperly before this court. The application is, therefore, struck off the roll with no order as to costs,” said Justice Maxwell.

Earlier this year, Aaron’s mother Rose Makumbe (69), said claimed she had a secret child with Mtukudzi. She had the support of other Mtukudzi family members.
