McKenzie Vows PA Will Stand Firm Against EFF’s Provocations

The gloves are off between the Patriotic Alliance (PA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), with PA leader Gayton McKenzie making it clear that his party won’t be intimidated by the EFF. During a briefing to supporters on Sunday night, McKenzie declared that the PA is prepared to confront the EFF head-on.

The rivalry between the parties is long-standing, with EFF leader Julius Malema previously referring to McKenzie and his deputy Kenny Kunene as convicts. The EFF is currently suing Kunene for defamation over comments linking the party to cigarette smuggling.

As the new Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, McKenzie rallied his supporters in support of the Government of National Unity (GNU), dismissing claims of its imminent failure. He emphasised that the PA will uphold decorum in Parliament, contrasting their approach with the EFF’s contentious behaviour.

McKenzie assured his followers that the PA would respond to rudeness with resilience, promising to reveal plans for community sports reform within 100 days. His message was clear: the PA is undeterred and ready to stand its ground against the EFF.
