South Africans Raise Speculation over Recent String of Bus Accidents

The frequency of these accidents has sparked intense debate and speculation on social media, particularly among South Africans.

Many are questioning the safety of Zimbabwe-bound buses and suggesting that these accidents may not be coincidental. Some have gone as far as to speculate that the accidents may be part of possible scams related to Road Accident Fund (RAF) claims.

South Africans are also expressing concern over the allocation of RAF funds, arguing that a significant portion is being directed towards foreigners involved in these accidents.

Here are some of the reactions;

@MaggyValen;

Nah there is now a pattern here,its a scam for RAF,im telling you.

@Mafa6232;

yaphela imali ye Raf Madoda to foreigners nogal. Haai that law needs to be amended foreigners shouldn’t benefit.

@Noma_here;

I’m sorry but I’m beginning to think this is some sort of new scam between some gov officials and cross country carriers to defraud RAF. I wouldn’t be surprised if some RAF officials were also involved in the scam 😏

@Mandalion;

Unrroadworthy, overloading and speed cause these Zim busses accidents. Traffic cops take bribes it’s just a mess. We need to change the Raf laws and cover only legal ppl who pay taxes kgaaa

@King_MM_M;

This is the second bus from Zim. The law is not doing anything to them , these guys overload their busses and speed, and many of them aren’t road worth, which is very dangerous to other road users
