The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has cancelled broadcasting the 73rd Miss Universe.
The winner of the pageant is expected to be crowned this Sunday, and SABC has promised that it will be aired.
However, hours after Miss South Africa Mia Le Roux’s withdrew from the competition, Phil Mphela, a famous entertainment commentator reported that SABC has cancelled broadcasting.
The Miss SA organisers released a statement on Friday morning to announce Mia Le Roux’s withdrawal.
It was said that she left due to health reasons.
“I am profoundly thankful for the unwavering support from South Africa during my time at Miss Universe. Making this decision has been incredibly challenging, knowing the dreams and hopes that have been placed upon me. However, I am deeply grateful to have the opportunity to focus on my health and recovery so that I may continue to serve my country with full strength,” Mia said.
