Court Orders Namibia Electoral Commission to Release Election Material

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), which has been accused of irregularities, has been directed by the Electoral Court to release the election material requested by the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) for inspection. “The court ordered that the inspection be done on the 18th of December 2024,” as stated by The Windhoek Times on Friday.
The IPC had filed an urgent application to inspect the 2024 election materials in an effort to challenge what they described as a “widely condemned sham election.” The party has rejected the outcome of the election and is seeking its nullification. Moreover, the IPC chose to boycott the ceremony where the poll results were announced.
