Simba Bhora set to receive $100k boost from CAF

Simba Bhora are expected to receive $100,000 from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ahead of their participation in the Champions League.

The Shamva-based club will represent Zimbabwe in the continental tournament after winning the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.

Following the preliminary draw held over the weekend, CAF announced that teams eliminated in either of the first two rounds will each receive USD 100,000 to cover logistical costs. The initiative is part of efforts to encourage more clubs to participate in the competition.

Simba will begin their CAF Champions League campaign against Nsingizi Hotspurs from Eswatini in the first preliminary round.

They will host Nsingizi between September 19 and 22, before travelling for the second leg the following week.
