Zimbabwe is set to host another CAF junior tournament before the end of the year.
According to a statement from the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), the country will stage the CAF U17 Girls Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) Cup from 8–18 December 2025.
ZIFA President Nqobile Magwizi said Zimbabwe is ready to deliver a world-class event that will celebrate and empower young African girls through football.
“We are honoured by CAF’s trust and COSAFA’s partnership. The GIFT Cup is more than just a tournament — it is an investment in the dreams of young African girls,” Magwizi told ZIFA Media.
The GIFT Cup is an annual CAF competition for U17 girls’ clubs and academies. This year’s edition will be only the second in the tournament’s history and the first ever to be hosted in the COSAFA region.
The announcement comes after Zimbabwe successfully hosted the CAF U17 Africa Cup of Nations | COSAFA Qualifier in Harare in September.
