Warriors player Prince Dube’s club, Young Africans SC, will allow free entry to the general public for their CAF Champions League second leg clash against Silver Strikers on Saturday.
Only the VIP A and VIP B sections will be reserved for guests.
The decision comes as Yanga look to overturn a 1-0 first-leg defeat suffered in, Malawi. With everything to play for, the Tanzanian champions are banking on massive fan support at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to inspire a comeback victory.
Yanga’s media officer, Ally Kamwe, said the club’s leadership agreed to waive ticket charges to ensure a packed stadium atmosphere that could drive the team toward victory.
“We have agreed that this match has been removed from entrance to all platforms except VIP A and VIP B platform which has been reserved for special guests and Yanga Black Card members,” Kamwe said.
“This request to keep this match free was very hard to accept since our leaders have so many demands to manage our team. Recognizing the importance of this game, we obliged our leadership to accept and prioritize the victory that each of us needs.”
