Njube Spurs academy coach John Mabhayisa has praised Warriors captain Marvelous Nakamba for his support after winning the 2025 ZIFA Bulawayo Province Under-17 boys league.
Nakamba has been sponsoring the academy since its formation as ways of giving the youths a kicking chance.
The Njube Spurs project is part of Marvelous Nakamba’s initiative to give back to his community.
The Warriors gaffer bankrolls the academy’s expenses and also caters to players’ welfare.
“Honestly, we want to thank Nakamba for what he is doing for these boys.
“As you know, funding is a challenge in junior football, but Marve makes it easy for us. He caters to players’ welfare and everything.
“We hope to produce another Marve among these boys so as to make him proud because that is his dream,” said Njebe Spurs coach John Mabhayisa.
Marvelous Nakamba has been active in supporting grassroots football, in 2022, he hosted a national junior football tournament that unearthed Warriors Finland-based player Prosper Padera.
