Marshall Munetsi has spoken about the impact new Wolves head coach Rob Edwards has had on the team since his appointment ahead of the November international break.
Edwards returned to Molineux following the sacking of Vítor Pereira after a run of poor results.
Wolves currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League table with just two points from their opening 12 games of the season.
Munetsi requested to remain at Compton Park during the November international break, rather than joining his national team, so he could have more time to work under the new boss.
Assessing Edwards’ early influence, the Warriors vice-captain told Wolves Media:
“It’s been amazing. The way he has had instant impact, because he’s a person who knows the club, so for him coming in, he really knows what he’s doing and his training sessions are really good.
“He has also addressed some of the key areas that we need to improve, and those are some of the things that he really specified that we need to improve on and work on.
“That’s something that we also need to implement as players to make sure that we improve the whole team in general.
“He has really spoken about us being more solid, trying to keep more clean sheets, because we’ve been conceding a lot of goals.”
Munetsi featured in Edwards’ first match in charge, a 2-0 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
He started the game and played 67 minutes as a wide midfielder.
