Highlanders have decided not to renew Pieter De Jongh’s contract, effectively bringing his short spell at the club to an end.
Sunday’s match against Chicken Inn was his final game in charge, closing a tenure that lasted just over four months.
The Dutchman joined Bosso at the end of July on a short-term deal, tasked with steadying the team during a difficult phase of the season. He took over the reigns from Try Ncube, who was the interim coach.
However, results failed to improve significantly, with De Jongh managing only one league victory during his time at the helm. The remainder of his matches were dominated by draws, leaving the club hierarchy with little confidence to extend his stay.
In total, De Jongh recorded one win, one defeat and seven draws in the league — a run that left Highlanders seeking relegation survival until the final matchday of the season.
In the Chibuku Super Cup, Bosso were knocked out of the competition in the semifinals by rivals Dynamos.
