Three players from 2024 best XI survive as new names dominate 2025 PSL soccer stars

Only three players from last season’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Soccer Stars Best XI have survived the cut, as the 2025 selection announced.

Dynamos captain, Emmanuel Jalai, Scottland’s top goal scorer, Tymon Machope and Isheanesu Mauchi from Simba Bhora are the only three returning players from the 2024 list.

Just like last year’s calendar, was dominated by Simba Bhora who were the champions. The list included Walter Musona, Blessing Moyo, Isheanesu Mauchi and Webster Tafa.

This year, Simba Bhora has the higest number of players in the list despite finishing third. Goal Keeper William Thole, Mauchi and Emmanuel Ziocha completes the list from Simba Bhora.

This year’s best XI introduces several new names, including Highlanders’ outstanding player Andrew Mbeba, Scottland’s Kevin Moyo, MWOS midfielder Billy Veremu and Abubakar Moffat, TelOne striker Washington Navaya who is also the golden boot winner after netting 17 scores, FC Platinum Jarrison Selemani.

The Soccer Stars of the Year — including the overall winner and two runners-up — are expected to be announced at the awards ceremony scheduled for December.
