Macauley Bonne has reacted to his inclusion in the Warriors’ provisional squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Bonne was named in the preliminary selection announced last week, marking his first call-up in more than a year.
Posting on Instagram, the 30-year-old — who last featured for the Warriors at a four-nation tournament in Malawi last year — said:
“Buzzing to have been out in provisional squad for AFCON. I’ve waited a long time for this moment, time to work even harder and push on thank you for all the support.”
Meanwhile, the tournament will run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
The Warriors have been drawn in Group B alongside Egypt, South Africa and Angola.
