The Warriors squad has arrived in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The tournament gets underway on Sunday, 21 December, with the national team set to play their opening match against Egypt a day later.

The team departed Harare on Tuesday afternoon after completing a two-week training camp in the capital. The remaining foreign-based players, who were only released after weekend fixtures, are expected to fly directly to Morocco.

In an update posted by ZIFA, the association confirmed that the team arrived in North Africa on Wednesday afternoon.

The squad will immediately begin their final preparations for the tournament.

“The Zimbabwe Warriors have arrived in Casablanca, Morocco, safely and in high spirits. Camp morale is strong and focus has fully shifted to acclimatisation and final preparations as the team sharpens its readiness for the AFCON challenge ahead,” reads an update from ZIFA.

The Warriors will be based at the Sofitel Hotel in Marrakech during the group stage.
