The Zimbabwe national football team will receive US$500,000 for finishing in the group stage at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The money is the base amount for finishing fourth in their group and for participating at the tournament.
The Warriors finished at the bottom of Group B with just one point, which they secured in a 2-2 draw against Angola on matchday two.
They lost their opening game 2-1 to Egypt, before suffering a 3-2 defeat to South Africa in their final group match.
Outside the CAF prize money allocation, the Zimbabwe national team also received allowances from the Government and benefactors.
This includes a US$250,000 cash reward from Wicknell Chivayo despite their disappointing exit.
Just before AFCON kicked off last month, the Warriors received US$400,000 from President Emmerson Mnangagwa to support their campaign at the tournament.
The funds were officially presented to the team by the Minister of Sport, Anselem Sanyatwe, during the Warriors’ send-off dinner.
