Highlanders have confirmed the departure of eight players following the expiry of their contracts on 31 December, as the club begin restructuring ahead of the new season under recently appointed head coach Thabo Senong.
Players who have left Bosso include McKinnon Mushore, Nqobile Ndlovu, Mthabisi Ncube, Honest Mhlanga and Learnmore Muyambo. Melikhaya Ncube, Martin Nhubu and Atusaye Nyondo complete the list of departures.
In a statement, the club expressed appreciation for the players’ contribution during their stay at Barbourfields.
“Highlanders Football Club would like to express its sincere gratitude to the following individuals for their unwavering dedication and commitment during their tenure with the club… We wish them nothing but the very best in their future endeavours,” reads the update.
Melikhaya Ncube has since joined Bulawayo Chiefs, while McKinnon Mushore is now on the books of FC Platinum.
Mason Mushore has also left Highlanders after the club agreed a transfer to South African side AmaZulu.
Meanwhile,the club has announced five new signings Tawanda Shenje from Hwange, Royn Nyamono from Bikita Minerals, Rayton Tshuma from Nust, Mongameli Tshuma from Hwange and PrideZendera from Chicken Inn.
