Newsome Mutema has reportedly joined Dynamos Football Club as assistant coach, reuniting with head coach Genesis Mangombe ahead of the 2026 season.

Mutema, who is already in Harare, left Triangle United, where he also served as Mangombe’s assistant.

Reports indicate that the former ZPC Kariba coach was offered a two-year contract at Dynamos, which is believed to be a more lucrative deal.

Mtema posted a farewell message on his Facebook page expressing gratitude to his former club.

“I would like to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to Triangle United Football Club, our esteemed sponsor, the executive management, the technical team, the players, and the devoted supporters for their collaborative efforts during our time together.

“Our primary objective was to avoid relegation, and through collective effort, we successfully accomplished this mission, with the added distinction of reaching the Chibuku final. As I prepare to move forward and take on new challenges, I wish Triangle United FC continued success in the forthcoming 2026 season,” he says.
