Macauley Bonne has finally joined a new club in England.
The Zimbabwe international became a free agent in January after leaving non-league side Maldon & Tiptree last month on his return from the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
He tried his luck at England’s sixth-tier side Dagenham & Redbridge FC but the couldn’t get a deal.
Bonne has now signed for Billericay Town until the end of the season.
“Football is about being happy playing wherever you are,” the Warriors international told the club’s Twitter channel after signing the deal.
“I’ve played in the Championship and lower levels than this but I play for me, no-one else.
“I don’t try to please anyone else.
“I do what makes me happy and as long as playing with a smile on my face I’m happy.”
