Tawanda Chirewa remains sidelined as he continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered earlier this month.
The 21-year-old joined Barnsley FC on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the January transfer window but has endured a frustrating start to life at Oakwell.
Chirewa picked up the injury after making just one appearance for the Reds and has now missed two weeks of action.
According to an update by the Yorkshire Post, the Zimbabwe international will again be unavailable when Barnsley face Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
While his exact return date remains unclear, Barnsley coach Conor Hourihane revealed two weeks ago that the setback is not considered serious.
“It’s nothing major, but he just needs to sit out and get himself back in a decent place.
“He got a little bit of a knock, an unfortunate one. He just needs to settle down and get back. We can’t take any risks with the bodies that we have,” Hourihane said.
