The Warriors have received a huge boost ahead of the four-nation tournament scheduled for the March international break.
A couple of key stars missed action over the weekend, raising concerns over their availability for the upcoming international fixtures.
Defender Munashe Garananga is back and available for selection at Hibernian FC after recovering from a knock.
Garananga missed the 2-0 victory over St Mirren last weekend after picking up an ankle injury.
Speaking to club media, head coach David Gray said: “In terms of team news, ‘Gara’ missed the last game with his ankle – it just came too soon for him – but he’s trained all week with no reaction, which is really positive.”
Midfielder Andy Rinomhota is also back and has been training with the Reading FC senior squad.
Rinomhota had missed two months of action due to an “urgent” family matter, which also forced him to withdraw from the Warriors squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, the Zimbabwean midfielder is still some way from being selected in the Reading matchday squad, having featured for only 45 minutes this year for the club’s U21s.
Other players who remain sidelined are Barnsley FC winger Tawanda Chirewa and Plymouth Argyle defender Brendan Galloway, who underwent surgery on Monday.
Galloway’s participation in the Warriors’ friendly matches remains uncertain, as he is expected to return to action only after mid-March.
Meanwhile, the four-nation tournament will feature fellow COSAFA sides Zimbabwe, Malawi, Botswana and Zambia.
The competition will be played during the first international window of the year, from 23–31 March, and will be hosted by Botswana at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.
