CAPS United have once again swooped on Ngezi Platinum Stars after completing the signing of Takunda Benhura.
The Green Machine confirmed the acquisition in a post on their official Facebook page.
Benhura reunites with coach Takesure Chiragwi, who left Ngezi at the end of last season to take over the reins at CAPS United. Since his arrival at the Harare giants, Chiragwi has heavily leaned on his former club, bringing in a host of players he previously worked with.
During the pre-season, the coach signed seven players from Ngezi. These include defenders Nyasha Gurende and Kudzwai Chigwida, midfielders Richard Hachiro, Talent Chamboko and Macdonald Makuwe, as well as strikers Delic Murimba and Obriel Chirinda.
Chiragwi also arrived with members of his trusted backroom staff. Former Warriors midfielder Tinashe Nengomasha was appointed CAPS United’s team manager, while Cloudious Gundudza took over as goalkeepers’ coach. Performance analysts Garry Muchakata and John Vera also made the switch from Ngezi.
