The list, which is circulating widely on Kenyan social media, allegedly includes individuals said to have been granted passports under special instructions. Reports claim the passports were processed through the office of Evelyn Cheluget, Director General of Immigration Services, with orders purportedly coming from State House.
For context, obtaining a Kenyan passport is not a casual process. One must first have a valid Kenyan national identity card, register on the government’s e-Citizen platform, and pay the required application fees.
