Tawanda Chirewa has suffered a new setback in his return from injury.
Chirewa has missed the last four matches for Barnsley after sustaining an ankle injury. He has so far made just one appearance for the club since joining them on loan in the January transfer window from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Warriors international was expected to return to action this weekend but suffered another setback, which forced him to return to his parent club, Wolves.
Barnsley coach Conor Hourihane said, as cited by The Yorkshire Post:
“We were expecting back this week is Tawanda, but he’s had a little bit of a setback in terms of his last couple of sessions and getting him clear and back to us.
“He’s currently back with his parent club, doing a bit of rehab and whatnot.”
