Scottland FC coach Norman Mapeza has praised his players following their emphatic 5-0 victory over Dynamos FC in the Castle Challenge Cup.
Scottland produced a dominant display to outclass their rivals and lift the season-opening trophy at Rufaro Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Mapeza commended both his team and their opponents.
“It was a good game. I don’t want to take anything from Dynamos — they played very well,” he said.
“I am more than happy with our performance. We created opportunities, which shows that our hard work over the past eight weeks is paying off. But I think we should give all credit to the boys.”
The experienced gaffer also highlighted the effort his squad has put in during pre-season, noting that their sharpness and cohesion were a result of consistent preparation.
Scottland will face Hardrock next weekend in their opening match of the league season.
