The 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season will burst into life this weekend with Chahwanda Stadium taking centre stage, as the newly built venue hosts its first top-flight match on Sunday.
Hardrock FC will welcome Scottland FC to the new-look Chahwanda Stadium at 1500hrs, marking a historic moment for the ground.
The occasion is expected to add extra excitement as the match will also mark Hardrock FC’s first ever game in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League following their promotion last season.
The new campaign, however, gets underway on Friday at Rufaro Stadium, where newcomers FC Hunters face MWOS FC at 1500hrs in the season opener.
Saturday presents a packed schedule of four matches, all kicking off at 1500hrs. Herentals College FC take on Chicken Inn FC at Rufaro Stadium, while Ngezi Platinum Stars FC clash with FC Platinum at Baobab Stadium in a platinum derby. Triangle United FC host ZPC Kariba FC at Gibbo Stadium, and TelOne FC battle Dynamos FC at Ascot Stadium in one of the standout ties of the weekend.
Sunday completes the Matchday One programme with four fixtures. CAPS United FC entertain Agama FC at Rufaro Stadium, Manica Diamonds FC meet Simba Bhora FC at Gibbo Stadium, and Highlanders FC square off against Bulawayo Chiefs FC at Barbourfields Stadium in a Bulawayo derby.
