Government Secret Agents Who Attacked Professor Lovemore Madhuku Exposed ? – Eduzim News

-Captain Albert Tizwa, reportedly a military intelligence officer, and Harare Provincial Police Intelligence Officer Vigai Maunganidze have been identified by eyewitnesses as being among a group of five assailants who allegedly assaulted Professor Lovemore Madhuku and left him for dead.

These are serious allegations that demand an urgent, transparent, and independent investigation.

We therefore call upon the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) to formally investigate the matter and clarify the role, if any, played by the two officers named by witnesses.

The ZRP has already issued a statement asserting that no police officer was involved in the incident. In the same statement, the police added that an application for clearance for the National Constitutional Assembly (NCA) meeting had been denied.

However, the NCA has categorically rejected that claim, stating that it never notified the police or applied for clearance in the first place. According to Professor Madhuku, it would be both absurd and unthinkable to seek police clearance to convene a meeting at one’s own offices — premises used daily for routine organisational business.

At the time of writing, the Zimbabwe Republic Police – ZRP has not responded to the NCA’s accusation that its spokesperson misrepresented the facts.

Given the gravity of the allegations — including the implication of state security officials — what the public now requires is not competing press statements, but a credible and transparent investigation that establishes the truth.
