Jordan Zemura’s availability for the Warriors’ upcoming friendlies this month is in doubt.
Zemura suffered a muscle problem during the final training session ahead of their game against Atalanta on Saturday.
The Zimbabwe national football team international was expected to undergo tests on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.
Initial reports from his club Udinese Calcio suggest the problem could sideline him for a short period, though the medical assessment will confirm whether he will be fit in time for international duty.
Zemura had been expected to play a key role for the Warriors in the upcoming Four-Nations Invitational Cup set to take place during the upcoming international break from 23-31 March in Francistown, Botswana.
The tournament will feature Zimbabwe alongside regional rivals Zambia, Botswana, and Malawi.
The invitational competition is expected to give Zimbabwe coach an opportunity to assess his squad and build combinations ahead of upcoming competitive assignments, including the next round of international fixtures.
Further updates on his condition are expected once the results of the medical tests are released.
