Highlanders coach Benjani Mwaruwari has made an open admission after his side drew 2-2 against Dynamos in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday Two encounter at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, Mwaruwari admitted that the Glamour Boys gave them a real challenge despite them leading at different stages of the match, but believes it was a fair result.
The gaffer said: “I believe it was a fair result, a game of two halves. They started the first half well, but we finished it stronger.
“In the second half, Dynamos dominated us from the first minute up until the last minute of the game. Even though we scored first, they gave us a lot of challenges.
“Unlike the game we played against them in the Charity Cup, this one was totally different. They were aggressive and quick.”
Highlanders broke the deadlock in the 39th minute after Never Rauzhi finished off a brilliant team move. The hosts equalised straight from the restart of the second half through Tellmore Pio.
Highlanders grabbed the lead again in the 78th minute when Mongameli Tshuma coolly slotted his effort home after beating three men along the way. However, Dynamos restored parity four minutes later through Collins Mujuru to make it 2-2.
