We have become draw specialists, says Highlanders coach Benjani Mwaruwari

Highlanders coach Benjani Mwaruwari has expressed concern after his side registered another draw in the 2026 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Bosso played out a goalless draw against MWOS in a Matchday 3 encounter at Barbourfields Stadium on Wednesday to remain without a win this season. They have picked just three points from their three opening games.

Speaking after the game, Mwaruwari said they have become draw specialists after dropping points again.

“It’s now three games, three draws,” the gaffer said. “We have become draw specialists.

“If we have three points from three matches, it’s like two games lost. We need to get better.”

However, Mwaruwari picked some positives from the goalless draw, saying: “One thing I’m happy with is this is our first clean sheet.

“It is a process, as I see it, but it’s also unfortunate, as a coach, if you don’t get the results you want.”

Highlanders played a 1-1 draw against Bulawayo Chiefs in the opening round before securing a 2-2 stalemate versus rivals Dynamos in the following fixture.
