Kalisto Pasuwa names six Castle Lager PSL players in Malawi squad for four-nation tournament


Malawi head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has included six players plying their trade in Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League in his squad for the upcoming four-nation tournament.

The Flames are set to take part in the invitational competition scheduled for 28–31 March 2026, where they will face Zambia in the semifinal.

Pasuwa, a former Zimbabwe national team coach, has cast his net across wide, blending locally based talent with foreign-based players.

The Zimbabwe-based contingent includes Simba goalkeeper William Thole, Ngezi Platinum defender Gomezani Chirwa and FC Platinum duo of Nickson Nyasulu and Maxwell Paipi.

The list is s completed by CAPS United pair of Lloyd Njaliwa and Chawanangwa Kaonga.

The squad also features a strong core from Malawian giants FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Silver Strikers and Mighty Wanderers, while other players based in South Africa, Zambia, and some from Europe have been drafted in to add experience.
