Gate charges for Warriors, Highlanders game slashed

The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has slashed gate charges for the Warriors’ exhibition match against Highlanders FC.

The move is aimed at attracting a larger crowd to Barbourfields Stadium on Wednesday as Bosso celebrates 100 years after their formation.

The ordinary tickets for the rest of the ground have been pegged at just $3 down from $5, while Grand Stand access will now cost $5 and the VIP tickets has been pegged at $10. VVIP section remains strictly by invitation, with school children in uniform set to pay only US$1 to sit in the Mpilo Stand.

The exhibition clash will give the Warriors an opportunity to fine-tune their squad ahead of their participation in a four-nations invitational tournament scheduled to take place in Francistown later this month.

Zimbabwe are set to compete alongside regional rivals Botswana, Zambia and Malawi in the tournament, which will run from 28 to 31 March.
