Benjani Mwaruwari bemoans same weakness after Highlanders faced Warriors on Wednesday

Benjani Mwaruwari has bemoaned the same weakness in his team after playing out a goalless draw in an exhibition match against the Zimbabwe national team on Wednesday.

The friendly encounter was organised as part of Highlanders’ 100-year anniversary celebrations.

It was also used as part of the preparations for the Warriors’ participation at the Mukuru Four-Nation Tournament later this week.

The goalless result comes on the backdrop of Bosso’s two successive goalless draws in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Bosso are also yet to win a league match this season.

Speaking after the game, Mwaruwari lamented his side’s failure to convert chances after good build-ups in the beginning.

“As you know, we have been struggling to score goals,” the H coach said. Our building from the back is now better, as you can see we’re comfortable with the ball, which is something good.

“Now when moving forward in the final third, that’s where we’re missing a bit.

“I believe football is a process and I’m happy with keeping the clean sheets.”
