Warriors coach Marian Marinica has confirmed he is keen to open dialogue with Marshall Munetsi following the midfielder’s omission from recent national team call-ups.
Munetsi, who currently plies his trade at Paris FC, has been a notable absentee in the Warriors squad in recent assignments, sparking questions about his international future.
Addressing the situation, Marinica made it clear that the door remains open for the experienced midfielder.
“First of all, Marshall remains a very important player for the national team,” Marinica told The Herald. “As a coach, I will always want the best Zimbabwean players to be available, and Marshall is certainly one of them.
“In the spirit of clarity and unity, we have requested a meeting with Marshall Munetsi so that we can sit down, speak openly and get to the bottom of any misunderstandings that may be there. These matters are always best handled through direct, respectful and honest communication.”
Munetsi has been one of Zimbabwe’s most consistent performers over the years, and the development will likely come as a boost to the squad.
