Sports Correspondent- Warriors coach Marian Marinica has expressed his willingness to engage in direct talks with midfielder Marshall Munetsi following the player’s recent absence from national team selections.

Munetsi, who currently plays for Paris FC, has missed several call-ups for the Warriors, raising questions about his international future.

Speaking to The Herald, Marinica emphasized the importance of maintaining open communication.

“First of all, Marshall remains a very important player for the national team,” Marinica said.

“As a coach, I will always want the best Zimbabwean players to be available, and Marshall is certainly one of them.

“In the spirit of clarity and unity, we have requested a meeting with Marshall Munetsi so that we can sit down, speak openly and get to the bottom of any misunderstandings that may be there.

These matters are always best handled through direct, respectful and honest communication.”

Munetsi has been a consistent performer for Zimbabwe over the years, and the prospect of reconciling any differences is expected to strengthen the squad ahead of upcoming fixtures.
